How Emotions Rule Leadership Concepts - 1614 Words

How Emotions Rule: Leadership Concepts in Inside Out 1. Movie Summary Leadership can take form in a vast number of ways, from businesses to government to public speakers. Leadership can be found in nearly every species around the planet in some form. But what if you looked deeper into yourself to explore what governs you as a person? The movie Inside Out does just that, by characterizing the things that drive us from the moment we are born until the moment we die: emotions. This story follows an 11-year old girl named Riley and the 5 basic emotions that live inside her head and govern what she does: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. A conflict occurs when her family packs up and moves to Los Angeles for a new job, and seemingly†¦show more content†¦2. Critique the Leadership Among all of the emotions, the one which exhibits the most leadership qualities is Joy. Going by the Big Five Personality Traits, Joy excels at the expectations of nearly of the traits. The first, being surgency, is completely natural to her character. Being the physical representation of joy itself, she is constantly energetic, extroverted and makes conversation whenever possible, even with Sadness, whom she does not like initially. When she is trying to raise Sadness’s sprits to continue on and make their way back to headquarters, she makes Sadness think happy thoughts, which to Sadness include â€Å"[a] good movie where [a] dog died.† The second trait is conscientiousness, which Joy shows not through her teamwork with the other emotions, but through the dependability she has for Riley. Having been with her from the moment of her birth, Joy is committed to always see Riley happy, thus she never leaves her post at the control board until she and Sadness are taken away; and even then, Joy spends every moment looking for a way back to Riley. The third trait is agreeableness, which matches her personality perfectly. Everything Joy does or talks about is heavily optimistic. Despite everything that goes wrong about the move, including the dreams versus the reality of what the new house would look like, the moving van not arriving on time, and not being able to find a good place to eat, Joy remains

How To Say Both in Spanish

There are various ways of expressing the idea of both in Spanish. Translating Both Meaning Too Most of the time, both simply means two and functions as an adjective or pronoun. In such cases, you can translate both as either ambos (ambas in the feminine) or los dos (las dos in the feminine). The two terms are almost interchangeable; ambos is somewhat more formal. Here are some examples: Los dos se abrazaron. (Both hugged each other.)Las dos cartas escritas desde Calabria reflejan la misma bondad. (Both letters written from Calabria reflect the same kindness.)A los dos nos duele la cabeza si tenemos hambre. (Both of us have a headache if were hungry.)Los dos là deres de Al Qaeda mà ¡s buscados en Irak murieron durante una operacià ³n militar. Translating the Emphatic Both There are many cases where both isnt the equivalent of two, usually when it is used for emphasis. Theres no one set way to express the concept; you need to look at the sentence to determine the context and develop a translation in that way. Here are some examples; note that the translations given arent the only ones possible: El aprendizaje es una asociacà Ãƒ ³n en el cual tanto el maestro como el estudiante juegan un papel dinà ¡mico.  (Learning is a partnership in which both the teacher and the student play a dynamic role.  Here, both adds emphasis, indicating that the teacher, as well as the student, play a role.)Queremos comprar una casa grande y ademà ¡s barata. Here, ademà ¡s, which usually means also, fulfills a similar function.)Pablo y Raà ºl tienen sendos hematomas que està ¡n siendo tratados. (Pablo and Raà ºl both have bruises that are being treated. Both is used here to clarify that each of the victims, not just one of them, is bruised. Sendos is an always-plural adjective often translated as respective or his or her own and is used here to provide a similar meaning. Sendos or sendas can also refer to more than two.)Hubo errores de u no y otro lado en el conflicto. (There were errors on both sides of the conflict. What would a girl like that want with a guy like me? I went back to work but all I could think of was Jamie, who knew that someone that put up a front for so long could feel this way. I ran the drive thru and messed up order after order. Was I going completely crazy? Things like this dont happy in real life, my life defiantly was no fairy tale My head set start beeping yet again, other order for me to mess up. The car pulled around and it was Jamie little did I know she was having the same feelings. When she got to the window and I asked her for the money for her order. She gave it to me then I gave her food, then I asked her if she need anything else like my phone number and she said heres mine call me when you get out and maybe we can get together. I waited about ten minutes and called her and she asked when I got off work so I said about one in the morning. She said she would be outside when I got out. It was the longest four hours of my life but for the first time I found myself not angry anymore, I was excited.Even if it meant that we would be Just friends it didnt matter to me. When I got out of work she was in the parking lot. I got in her car and we headed to the only place opened late at night, Dunking Donuts in Winding. We stayed in the car in the parking lot talking till the sun came up. We did the same thing the next two nights I became comfortable with her, a feeling that I had never felt before. I shared my past with someone that Just a few days ago was a complete stranger. She understood me, and didnt Judge me. Over the next ten years she helped me to come a lot calmer. She also made me realize that when I was with her and happy I didnt have any anger. I was able to let go of everything that had happened to me and just focus on her. We spent a lot of time talking about how I could deal with my anger in ways that were nonviolent. When I use to get mad fighting was the best way to deal with the person that made me mad. Jamie through time and patience helped me to focus on talking things out instead of fighting and only fight if I had no other choice. To tell you the truth I thought she was crazy at first but I came to understand her.
